Dalhousie
Colonial calm & Khajjiar meadows
Dalhousie is an old-world hill station laid over five low hills, full of colonial bungalows, churches and pine-shaded promenades. Unhurried and green, it is a gentle alternative to busier Himachal towns and a favourite for families and quiet getaways.
Its biggest draw lies a short drive away: Khajjiar, a saucer of emerald meadow ringed by deodar forest and often called the 'Mini Switzerland of India'.
Khajjiar & the viewpoints
Spend a morning at Khajjiar — a wide grass meadow with a small lake at its centre, perfect for a slow walk or a horse ride. Back in town, the promenades of Garam Sarak and Thandi Sarak, St. Francis and St. John's churches, and the Dainkund Peak viewpoint fill an easy itinerary.
A trip to Chamba
History lovers can add the old temple town of Chamba, with its ancient stone shrines and the Bhuri Singh Museum. We run Dalhousie–Khajjiar–Chamba as a comfortable loop with a driver who knows the winding hill roads.
